The Cacaveli Bluezone hosted the Launch Ceremony of the sanitation support project on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018.
The launching ceremony of the Agoe Zongo neighborhood sanitation support project was held in the multipurpose room of the Cacaveli Bluezone.
It brought together several actors including the representative of the prefecture of “Lome Commune”, the representatives of the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Sports and Civic Training, the head of the Agoe canton, the members of the District Development Committee (CDQ) and pre-collection agents.
Initiated by the Precious Life Association (AVIP-Togo), the project of support to the sanitation aims to raise awareness about civic, citizenship and health.
Thus, health kits (consisting of gloves, shovels, garbage cans, wheelbarrows and rakes) were symbolically handed over to the head of the Agoe canton. The goal is to stop the proliferation of wild dumps.
After the official launch ceremony, a training workshop on waste management and citizen engagement was held in the multipurpose room of the Cacaveli Bluezone.
