The CML Day (Chronic Myeloid Leukemia) was celebrated on September 22nd on the Cacaveli Bluezone.
Supported by Blueline Togo, the Chronic Myeloid Leukemia World Day was held to raise public awareness of this disease.
Chronic Myeloid Leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, which is characterized by an excessive production of white blood cells in the blood. It is associated with a genetic anomaly.
Hematologic physicians took part in the sensitization session to explain the origin and symptoms of the disease, as well as the need for regular “ABL-BCR gene search PCR”, which identifies the disease.
