The revival of the railways in Togo is starting to take shape. Bolloré Group has taken delivery of the new rails and sleepers and is now deploying them along the railway line as work gets under way to completely renovate the track.
The renovation of Togo’s railways will initially enable the line to be restored from the capital Lomé along the northward route inland. The local teams will be helped by Bolloré Group expertise provided by SITARAIL and CAMRAIL.
Ultimately the work will enable passenger services to restart as well as freight traffic. The project will facilitate trade, bring together communities and inject new life into the Togolese economy.
